The first day of in person early voting in New York State left voters waiting in very long lines in the NYC metro area. (Voter suppression.) In Westchester County seventeen voting centers were open to all County residents. At the Dobbs Ferry Village Hall voters waited hours to cast their ballots as the line snaked through village streets. Although the voting center provides handicapped accessibility, there were no accomodations for those who are physically unable to stand in line for hours or walk to the top of a hill to reach the end of the line. Voters arriving to drop off absentee ballots saw no instructions at the entrance although there was a drop box inside and they did not need to wait in the long line. It was very fortunate that the weather was mostly nice.
